Splitvolt, Inc. Standard Warranty

To help you purchase confidently, Splitvolt offers a standard one-year warranty on all of their products. Additionally, Splitvolt offers customers an optional 4-year extended warranty that may be purchased for Splitvolt Splitter Switches and portable chargers.

Customers can return their product for any reason, if not completely satisfied. These terms are subject to change without notice. For any questions or claims please see: www.splitvolt.com/help.

 

Splitvolt Standard One Year Warranty Terms and Conditions 

  • One (1) year warranty starts from delivery of the product. 
  • Under this program, there is no additional cost for parts or labor factory or component defects: You pay $0 for repairs – parts and labor are included. Simply fill out the return request form, attach your receipts and ship to the address provided.  We will repair or replace and return to your provided shipping address.
  • For equipment under this program, Splitvolt reserves the right to repair, replace or refund the purchase price to the original buyer at Splitvolt’s sole discretion.
  • This program is only available to end users for home, non-commercial use and is non-transferrable.
  • File a claim anytime online by opening a support case at www.splitvolt.com/help. Claims and technical issues or questions are reviewed within one business day.

 

How the Plan Works

  • To file a claim, you may go online to www.splitvolt.com/help  twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week to open a case and start the review process.
  • Provide a copy of the order confirmation email with the product and order details. This email will have your order number, customer name, shipping address as well as the specific line items purchased at that time.
  • This terms and conditions document constitutes the entire agreement and understanding regarding the 30 Day Money Back Guarantee and One (1) Year Warranty coverage program between the original purchaser and Splitvolt.  If you have questions, please contact us at www.splitvolt.com/help
  • For reimbursement, we may require you to fill out a claim facilitation form prior to receiving service, replacement, or reimbursement for your covered product. Reimbursements under the 30 Day Money Back Guarantee are issued upon receipt and inspection of the returned item.
  • During the One (1) year warranty claim review process, Splitvolt at its sole discretion, may require that you send pictures or video of the original product and/or behavior to facilitate Splitvolt assessment and troubleshooting. The product serial number or batch number will need to be provided.
  • Once reviewed, notification regarding resolution steps and additional questions or clarification will be communicated by email using the address on file from the time of purchase, unless an updated email address is used during the claim filing process.
  • For repair services, you may be responsible for any shipping fees associated with sending the covered product to an authorized service center for repair. In the event that there is a replacement or repair for a covered product, as determined by Splitvolt, Splitvolt will pay return shipping via Ground in the Continental United States.
  • We may use non-original parts for repairs.
  • For equipment under this program, Splitvolt reserves the right to repair, replace or refund the purchase price to the original buyer at Splitvolt’s sole discretion.
  • All repairs and replacements must be authorized in advance. Unauthorized return shipment of equipment may not be covered, and the unit may be forfeit without compensation.


What is Not Covered
For All Products

  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, willful or intentional conduct of the product. Including uses or environments outside those considered “normal” as determined exclusively by Splitvolt.
  • Breakdown caused by introduction of foreign objects or insect infestation.
  • Cosmetic damage, including scratches, peelings or dents that do not impede the mechanical functionality of the qualifying product (unless otherwise provided for above).
  • Damages caused by acts of God or third-party actions, including but not limited to: fire, collision, power surge, vandalism, theft, war, invasion or act of foreign enemy, riot, strike, labor disturbance or civil commotion.
  • Consequential or incidental damages, including but not limited to: loss of business, loss of profits, damage or loss to any data or operating system, downtime, charges for time and effort, liability or damage to property, or injury or death to any person or pet arising out of the operation, maintenance or use of the product
  • Products not originally covered by a store return policy or Manufacturer’s Warranty, floor models, liquidations or products not purchased directly from Splitvolt, Inc. are not eligible. Products purchased outside the United States.
  • Damage to products or connected equipment if household wiring or other equipment does not meet code according to the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.
  • Unauthorized service by product purchaser or other third-parties not authorized by Splitvolt in writing.
  • Problems due to improper use or installation.
  • Products with altered or missing serial or batch numbers.
  • Products modified in any way, such as removing or replacing NEMA plugs, or with safety feature(s) removed, bypassed, disabled or altered.
  • Products with “No Problem Found” diagnosis or failure to follow the claim submission process and instructions as described in this document and/or determined at Splitvolt’s discretion.
  • Products used for commercial purposes.
  • Products used in multi-family housing environments.
  • Product damage from failure to sufficiently protect the product from the elements according to the individual product guidelines.

 

Other General Provisions
Limited Liability
The total liability under this plan for any single product is:
(a) Replacement of the product with a replacement product or
(b) Reimbursement of the original purchase price you paid for the product, excluding sales tax, as indicated on your order confirmation email for the product or
(c) The total of all authorized repairs up to the original purchase price you paid for the product, excluding sales tax, as indicated on your order confirmation email for the product.
If we have met any of the above conditions (a), (b) or (c), We shall have fulfilled all obligations owed under this plan and this plan shall terminate.
Transferability: This Plan is non transferable
Renewal: This Plan is not renewable
This Plan may be canceled by Splitvolt or the Administrator for any reason by notifying You in writing at least thirty (30) days prior to the effective date of cancellation, which notice shall state the effective date and reason for cancellation.

 

Splitvolt, Inc. Optional 4 Year Extended Warranty Exclusively for Splitvolt Splitter Switches™ and Portable EV Chargers Terms and Conditions

  • This four (4) year limited warranty replaces the standard one (1) year warranty and starts at the time of purchase.
  • Under this program, there is no additional cost for Parts or Labor factory or component defects: You pay $0 for repairs – parts and labor are included. Simply fill out the return request form, attach your receipts and ship to the address provided. We will repair or replace and return to your provided shipping address.
  • For equipment under this program, Splitvolt reserves the right to repair, replace or refund the purchase price to the original buyer at Splitvolt’s sole discretion.
  • This program is only available to end users for home, non-commercial use and is non-transferrable.
  • Product coverage is effective starting on the date of purchase. 
  • Plan coverage available for Splitvolt Splitter Switch™ and Splitvolt Portable EV Chargers. Extended Warranty must be purchased on the same order as the specific product to be covered under the program. Also, the purchase of a single Splitvolt Extended Warranty only applies to one (1) unit in the order and not the whole order.

Renewal: This Plan is not renewable

Cancellation: You can cancel this Plan at any time for any reason by going to splitvolt.com/help within 30 days of purchase and requesting cancellation of the plan. 

This Plan may be canceled by Splitvolt or the Administrator for any reason by notifying You in writing at least thirty (30) days prior to the effective date of cancellation, which notice shall state the effective date and reason for cancellation. If We or the Administrator cancel this Plan, You shall receive a refund of one hundred percent (100%) of the pro-rata unearned portion of the Plan price, less the cost of any claims paid or repairs made. For residents of AL, AR, CA, CO, DC, HI, MA, MD, ME, MN, MO, NJ, NM, NV, NY, SC, TX, WA, WI and WY, and any other jurisdictions as required by law, any refund owed and not paid or credited within thirty (30) days of the cancellation effective date will include a ten percent (10%) penalty per month.
